Being a founding member of the Happy (8) Hours crew at Aduro, my previous employer, allowed me to work on a team with members from all departments, and included a mix of responsibilities and professional learning opportunities. The outcomes of the group included achieving business goals like breaking down silos, increasing internal satisfaction scores, and organizing team building events.
Internal campaigns and self-led efforts gave me a chance to shout out the people I worked with loudly, and promote a culture of gratitude.
